Essential oils have tremendous healing properties.  Aromatherapy is a holistic treatment technique that uses essential oils to improve physical, mental and emotional health.  Each type of essential oil has various healing benefits.
What Are Essential Oils?

Essential Oils are highly concentrated oils that are extracted directly from the bark, flower, fruit, leaf, seed, or root of a plant or tree.  Through this concentration process, the most powerful healing compounds of the plant are extracted into a single oil.  These plant derived therapeutic oils help protect the plant from insects and adapt to its surroundings. Essential Oils have been used throughout the 19th century, , but did not gain popularity until the 1980s, when they were added to lotions, candles and other fragrances. Now, aromatherapy is very commonly used by trained professionals.
